Our Story
Connections 20-80 was founded from our desire to create a meaningful support network for Senior citizens in the community in our own way.
Volunteering as part of our daily lives often feels impossible. We want to help, but routines are demanding and we don’t always have the time or capacity to commit.
So we asked ourselves: how is it that our startup-nation hasn’t yet come up with a solution for this? Instead of waiting for someone else to create the solution, we took responsibility
and built it ourselves.

Our Activities
Connections 20-80 operates a national headquarters that includes a call center for senior citizens, a technological volunteer platform through which connections are managed, and a field operations team working directly in coordination with partners of local municipalities.
Our operational model is built around creating meaningful intergenerational connections through simple, one-time interactions close to home.

To build bridges between young adults eager to help and senior citizens who need support in their local community.

The Solution
Connections 20-80 operates a technological platform that connects between assistance requests from senior citizens to volunteers in their local communities.
Our goal is to reduce loneliness among senior citizens by creating meaningful connections with young volunteers.
Approximately 300,000 senior citizens in Israel face a sense of loneliness and often have no one to turn to when they need help.
At the same time, young people often avoid volunteering due to lack of time, difficulty committing and limited access to flexible volunteering options.
